Chapter 1602 Just Die

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Nine pillars of water as thick as half a kilometer across erupted. Every enemy within its range was wiped out into such a fine mist there was nothing at all left of their body. One would have thought that Nosphaleen had used flames with the heat of a fiery hell rather than water itself.

Panels of radiant silver-blue descended onto her body, locking into place as long silky strands of Aether descended down her body.

Her Whale Warlord Armor reached a state of perfection before their eyes in a single instant of time, and her palm struck upward.

BANG.

Her hand carried such a devastating amount of power and strength that it didn’t even meet Borun’s. The air pressure radiating from it alone was so great that the so-called Whale Warlord felt an irresistible pressure when he was still as far as 50 meters away, his downward momentum halting for the briefest of instances before he was blasted back into the skies with such speed that he became nothing more than a faint dot in the blink of an eye.

All around Nosphaleen, an invisible suction and repulsion force took shape, so powerful that the blades aimed for her and Sylas all froze in place in the very same instant of time.

The Aether on their weapons was stripped away as though they had lost the right to use it at all, and their eyes couldn’t help but widen in shock.

The reaction of those on the outside was far fiercer than maybe even those in the heat of battle. Locked in a life- and-death struggle all of a sudden, they didn’t have the luxury to appreciate what they were truly seeing. But the people on the outside were a completely different matter entirely.

For a moment, the 713th Warlords of the 073 Sanctum felt somewhat vindicated.

When they had first seen Nosphaleen’s Whale Warlord Armor, they had thought it was absolutely ridiculous. Powerful Summons were rare enough. A powerful Summon that was also a Rune Master of this caliber?

It was unheard of.

By definition, Rune Masters needed strong Wills. Without it, they couldn’t impose their intentions onto the world and create and manipulate Runes.

However, as a Summon, your Will was by definition suppressed. Whatever your ceiling as a Rune Master would have been was inevitably weakened while being under the charge of someone else.

For Nosphaleen’s Will to be so heavily suppressed, and yet for her to forge a Whale Warlord Armor of this caliber…

“That Armor…” The Emperor Lizard’s pupils constricted.

It was perfect.

He didn’t dare to say the words out loud, but he knew the truth laid out right in front of him. There wasn’t a single flaw.

The fact it was a Warlord Armor and not an Emperor Armor made it less impressive, but ultimately there were so few in their Emperor Sanctum who formed perfect F-tier Emperor Armors that it wasn’t even worth considering.

But amongst their subordinates… was there anyone who had formed a perfect Warlord Armor?

The eyes of all the overseers all sharpened.

There were too few. In this batch, there were less than a dozen amongst the tens of tens of millions of participants, and all of them were in the top 10.

And this girl was a Summon?

What a complete waste.

Robareda couldn’t help but frown when she saw Nosphaleen’s Warlord Armor. This wasn’t because of the perfection-that was shocking enough, sure-but the main problem was that it wasn’t a Serpent Warlord Armor, it was the Whale.

That didn’t make sense at all.

Had she been wrong?

Nosphaleen didn’t know of the thoughts of others, nor did she care. Right this moment, she was absolutely furious.

Her palms stretched out and she slammed downward.

The pressure of her gravitational barrier bore down, crushing the heads of the Warlords that had almost reached her and Sylas.

She pulled her palms back, tightening them into fists and forming tidal waves of water that seemed to mimic her actions. The heft of these rivers and waves grew to the point it felt like the world was responding to her fury.

Nosphaleen punched, and the tidal waves crushed.

By this point, wave after wave of Demons had begun to appear, but the scene had become little different than one of complete and utter carnage.

To Nosphaleen’s surprise, rather than her stamina draining even faster, with her Whale Warlord Armor on, the cost had plummeted.

The Armor itself wasn’t drawn consciously by her. Her Whale Gene was perfect, so the world formed it for her. In addition, while it was active, her Will was actually much stronger, attuning itself more with the essence of the Whale.

This made wielding water even easier than before, and the result was 100x more devastating for a fraction of the previous cost.

This truth, though, only made her more furious.

She was so inexperienced with her own strength, always chasing more power and yet not knowing exactly how to use it. If she was more useful, Sylas would call on her more often, and none of this would ever happen.

And now, when Sylas was finally relying on her for something of great importance, these people actually almost got a leg up on her despite their pathetic, pitiful strength.

How could she not be furious?

‘Just die.’

She raised her hands again, separating her fists into a pair of palms that came crashing toward one another.

In that moment, the seas parted and then rapidly shut close as though the thick covers of an ancient tome.

BOOM!

To say it sounded akin to a clap of thunder didn’t do the devastation justice. The wind pressure alone was so great that the thick dark clouds above, as heavy as mountains, forcefully separated, revealing a glaring violet sun that hung above like the eye of a Demon.

In that moment, Borun finally began to fall back to the ground, unconscious and his body in complete tatters, plummeting so fast streaks of fire coated his descent.
